"...The shoot was organized by the Idaho Army National Guard, which had a Humvee and various military equipment at the bottom of the mountain for kids to check out. But Staff Sgt. Trevor Fallows said the shoot also served an important purpose in teaching skiers and snowboarders valuable skills.


“In the military, we utilize a system called shoot, move and communicate,” he said. “With an exercise like this, it helps teach basic skiing fundamentals in conjunction with basic marksmen skills. Plus, it’s just a lot of fun....”

A reconnaissance troop stopped by the air gun facility to demonstrate their skills, and take on members of the public in a game or two.

It's a way to showcase what they do, and talk to anyone interested in joining the force...."
